Video learning is becoming an increasingly popular way to learn new information. Adding interactivity to videos ensures students are actively engaged instead of passively watching. This session will provide guidance for using Edpuzzle to add interactivity to videos you want to use with your students, as well as how you can create your own instructional videos using screencasting.

• Khan Academy Certification
Teachers will be paid one hour for completing the free professional learning course, "Khan for Educators". This course is designed to help you get started with Khan Academy. You'll learn how to use Mastery Goals and assignments to support the specific learning objectives of your students. Plus, you'll discover how our teacher reports can be a powerful tool to guide your instruction and focus your interventions. It's all about providing you with the resources and knowledge to make the most of what Khan Academy has to offer.

The Science of Reading (SOR) is transforming literacy instruction nationwide. Have you noticed that no matter how many comprehension strategies you try, some students continue to struggle with your content? We will learn about how to use research from SOR to support all students, especially those who still aren’t fluent readers in high school.
• Sentence Sense with NoRedInk: A Scaffolded Walkthrough of Sentence Types
In this module, you will explore scaffolded approaches to teaching sentence types using NoRedInk's Skill Modules. This hands-on walkthrough includes classroom-tested strategies for supporting all learners—especially struggling students—while building grammar foundations. Participants will learn how to navigate and assign NRI Skill Modules, integrate scaffolded supports including notes, games, and writing tasks, apply best practices for reteaching, extending, and checking for understanding, and walk away with ready-to-use classroom resources and a 2-month NRI sentence structure sequence.
• Socratic Seminar and Smackdown!
Socratic Seminar or Socratic Smackdown is a technique that supports student discussion of any topic, at any level, in any language with scaffolded supports to build in student success. This allows for the rules of discourse to be taught, practiced, and then gamified into a way for students to earn points towards their discussion participation.
