Conference Structure and Pay

Conference Overview: 

The 2024 Virtual Learning Conference is a series of self-paced modules you may choose to complete asynchronously this summer.

Teachers may choose to complete up to five new modules for pay from any of the topics being offered.  

Each module will take you through a series of learning activities that culminate in a reflection assignment which will support the processing of your learning and planning for future implementation. 

This professional development opportunity is intended for all GUHSD teachers except for teachers who are new to the district and instructional assistants.


Dates:

The conference will begin Monday July 15th at 8:00am and end Friday July 26th at 4:00pm.  

Teachers will have access to work on the modules at any time during the conference dates. 

Support is available between 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday.



Time Expectation and Compensation:

Teachers will be paid $30.38 for completing all components of a module.


Completed modules will be paid Tuesday, August 20th.

Each module will take approximately one hour to complete.  Because the modules are self-paced, completion time may vary with the average being one hour.

Teachers will also receive professional development hours for each module they complete.


Access:

Access the conference modules will be available on the conference website homepage at 8:00am on Monday July 15th.  At that time, you will be able to click on the link located at the bottom of the summer conference homepage which will take you to a login screen for the learning management system, Canvas.  

You will log in using their typical GUHSD credentials.  This screen will allow you to enroll in the conference course.  

Click here for list of learning modules.  Each module will take approximately 1 hour to complete.  As this is the first summer of the new one hour modules, all modules are available for anyone to complete for the first time.
